ANNOUNCEMENTS
February 8, 2026
- This Friday, February 13th, St Rose will hold a Holy Hour for Peace at 6:00 pm.
Archbishop Paul Coakley, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, has called upon bishops and priests to respond to the unrest within our nation with a Holy Hour for Peace.
Archbishop Coakley said in calling for this moment of renewal: “Let us pray for reconciliation where there is division, for justice where there are violations of fundamental rights, and for consolation for all who feel overwhelmed by fear or loss.”
Again, St. Rose will hold our Holy Hour of Peace this Friday at 6:00 pm. Please join us. - All teens in grades 6–12 are invited to a free Teen Lenten Reflection on Saturday, March 7th from 9:00 am–12 noon. We’ll explore why Lent calls us to prayer, fasting, and sacrifice, with reflections led by Joseph Gonzalez, youth minister at St. John the Baptist in New Freedom—plus food and fun games. See the flyer in the bulletin and register by February 20th.
- Parents of Confirmation Students, please see today’s bulletin for dates, times, and information regarding Confirmation. The Confirmation Retreat is Saturday, March 14th from 10 to 2 in the Parish Center. Lunch will be provided.
- Have you ever stopped to think about all the good things that St. Rose parish does? Things like offering Jesus to us in the sacraments, teaching about God, feeding the hungry through the food pantry, helping to support the pregnancy center across the street, parish breakfasts, seafood dinners. There are so many good things that are happening here. As Christians we’re called not only to offer monies to support good causes, but offer our time as well. In other words, serve God by serving others. Beginning in next weekend’s bulletin, it is my hope to make you aware of places where you can help make a difference and hopefully pick a place to serve God and your fellow Christians.
- And lastly, a reminder that Holy Sprouts follows the 9:30 am Mass, and Divine Mercy Adoration begins at 3:00 pm today.
Our OCIA sessions are underway on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the Catholic faith or to invite a family member or friend who may be interested in becoming Catholic. New participants are welcome to join at any time. For more information, please call the parish office or see Len Mialki.
