Book Study
Understanding “Our Father” We’ve prayed the Our Father all of our lives. It was probably the first prayer we learned. If we pray the rosary daily, we repeat the prayer 6 times within 20 minutes! But have we taken the time to meditate on what God is saying through this prayer about Himself and about our relationship to Him and to our brothers and sisters? Why did Jesus choose these specific words when He responded to the Disciples’ request “Lord, teach us to pray”? And in what way is the Our Father a pattern to be followed in all the prayers we offer to God? A 13 week book study and in-depth look at the prayer that God Incarnate taught us, the Our Father, will be held beginning Tuesday, September 10 at 6:30 pm in the Parish Center. We will be reading Scott Hahn’s book Understanding “Our Father”. This paperback book can be ordered through Amazon for $16.95 or a used copy obtained through Thriftbooks for under $8. The study is being facilitated by Donna Moyer. For more information or to register, please email her at reyomannod@gmail.com or text her at 717-515-2145.

Bible Study What We Believe
The Catholic Church is extraordinary. Founded by Christ himself, the Catholic Church is where we encounter God in his Word, his sacraments, and his saints. The Church faithfully proclaims the fullness of faith, leaving no truth out. It proclaims the fullness of life, leaving no person out. It calls all to repent and to believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the source of all life and salvation. Maybe you’ve been Catholic your entire life. Maybe you’re just beginning to explore the Catholic Faith. Wherever you may be in your journey, you will be profoundly moved by the beauty and the richness of the Catholic Church. St. Rose Parish will study What We Believe: The Beauty of the Catholic Faith beginning Thursday, Oct. 3rd at 6:30 pm and continuing every Thursday for 10 weeks. POC Jen Riley 717-887-7462
